Functioning in his workshop at night after long days of burger grilling, Harry pursues his idea of allowing customers to order and get their meals without leaving their vehicles. With the introduction of his revolutionary two-way speaker box, In-N-Out can now deliver authentic drive-thru service that lives up to its name.
1954: Updated Logo
The famous In-N-Out arrow makes its debut, replacing the original “No Delay” sign. Inspired by their new design, In-N-Out Associates uses the phrases “The arrow points to pride” and “We all work under the same arrow.”

Under his leadership, In-N-Out has expanded to 93 sites. Guy Snyder becomes Chairman of the Board, while Esther Snyder takes over as President.
Arizona’s First Restaurant in 2000
Store #143, located at 81-101 London Bridge Road in Lake Havasu City, opens on May 3. Currently, In-N-Out has locations in Arizona, Nevada, and California.
2008: Utah’s First Restaurant
With store #215, Washington City is the first community in Utah to have an In and Out. The new location at 822 W. Telegraph Street begins serving Southern Utah on April 22.
Texas’s First Restaurants in 2011
On May 11, the first two In n Out locations in Texas open in Allen and Frisco on the same day, giving Texans two reasons to rejoice.
